§ 14-91. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Public dance means any dance or ball to which admission can be had by payment of a fee, or by the purchase, possession or presentation of a ticket or token, or at which a charge is made for caring for clothing or other property, or any other dance to which the public generally may gain admission, with or without the payment of a fee.

    Public dance hall means any room, place or space in which a public dance or public ball is held, or any room, place or space where dancing is permitted.
